Old Sloop Presents is a non-profit, all-volunteer outreach project of the Old Sloop, the First Congregational Church of Rockport, Massachusetts. We present all kinds of performing arts at affordable prices in a friendly and welcoming environment. We seek to be accessible. Performances are in the church’s sanctuary or Fellowship Hall, both of which are handicap accessible. The program seeks to be revenue-neutral: 90% of ticket proceeds goes to performers, and we keep prices as low as possible. We seek to be responsible: we sell fair trade coffee and tea from Equal Exchange, which supports small farmers using sustainable agricultural methods. We also sell a variety of delicious, home-made baked goods, which are very popular with our patrons and performers.
All performances are general admission. Unless otherwise noted, performances begin at 7:30 PM and end around 10:00 PM, and doors open 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the performance.
Performances often sell out, and it is advisable to get tickets in advance. Tickets may be purchased from this web site, from the box office, which is open during intermissions at concerts, from John Tarr Store in Rockport, and from The Bookstore of Gloucester.
